It's not long now. It's just 8 days until Portsmouth Comic Con!

Portsmouth Comic Con, on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May, is an expansive event with exciting experiences, guests, panels, stalls, cosplay and more. I have really enjoyed attending Portsmouth Comic Con over a number of years, and will again be there over the weekend. This year there's a range of returning guests, speakers and panels, alongside exciting new experiences.

Each year at the event I am overwhelmed at the importance of creativity, craft, community and belonging that, for so many of us, supports our wellbeing and helps bring balance and pleausre to our sometimes very difficult lives or situations. So I find myself again looking forward to an exciting and meaningful Comic con weekend.

Here's a little snippet of whats happening at Portsmouth Comic Con on the 2nd and 3rd May 2026.

Zones and Experiences

The Star Wars Experience, with the Joker Squad is back! Those with a competitive streak and energy can take part in the Nerf Arena, whilst creative constructors (and maybe those of us with less energy) can get building in the new LEGO Zone, plus meeting our favourite dinosaurs in the Jurassic Zone. Then there's the new Thronefest Collection, Portsmouth Ghostbusters are back with the Mass Hysteria Zone and Ecto-1. Book lovers can find an incredible range of bookish content in the Bookish Block. Fantasy literature fans can enter A Court of Fantasy & Fae. Visitors will be able to meet film and TV guests Tom Rosenthal, Anita Dobson, Patricia Quinn, Marc Silk, Jemma Redgrave and Julian Glover CBE.

Plus, Dream Team Portsmouth and The Firestorm Mandos will be roaming the site, make sure to say hi to them.

Artists Alley

I mean, it's COMIC CON! This is a great opportunity to meet the artists, check out their work and hear from them during the panels and workshops.

Portsmouth Comic Con After-Party

Portsmouth Comic Con will be hosting it's first ever official After-Party on the Saturday and Sunday evenings at Hampshire Boulevard with drag shows, cosplay and Comic Con-themed drinks, with free entry for Comic Con ticket holders before 9pm.

The Portsmouth Comic Con Team says on their website "Portsmouth Comic Con is one of the largest family-friendly comic cons of its kind, presenting the best in comic, film, TV and pop culture entertainment in a fully immersive and fun day out for all. Visitors can explore the biggest franchises around through interactive experiences, displays, exhibitions, workshops and fascinating panels and discussions. Get your tickets from www.portsmouthcomiccon.com and follow Portsmouth Comic Con on FacebookTwitterInstagram and TikTok for more announcements as they happen."

I'm looking forward to another exciting Portsmouth Comic Con weekend, which seems to evolve every year. See you on 2nd and 3rd May and Portsmouth Guildhall, for Portsmouth Comic con 2026!
